GOLD RIVER, Calif. — November 1, 2026. Sacramento County has a dedicated emergency evacuation map for Gold River. Residents should identify their zone before a wildfire, flood, infrastructure emergency or other incident disrupts roads and communications.

The county’s Zone 74 — Gold River map covers the area between Sunrise Boulevard to the west, the American River to the north, Hazel Avenue to the east and Highway 50 to the south.

Which routes are listed?

County emergency planners identify Gold Country Boulevard and Coloma Boulevard as major east-west corridors and Sunrise Boulevard and Hazel Avenue as major north-south routes. The map also shows a light rail connection along the area’s southern boundary.

These are planning references, not directions to drive a particular route during a live emergency. Any street can be affected by congestion, floodwater, fire, a crash or police restrictions. Residents must follow current evacuation orders and traffic-control instructions.

Landmarks and household preparation

The county’s map identifies Gold Station Park, Gold River Discovery Center, Nimbus Dam, the aquatic center and Nimbus Flat State Park. Families can use landmarks to orient themselves, but should verify the zone for their specific home or workplace rather than assuming all nearby addresses are in Zone 74.

Prepare medicines, identification, supplies for pets and essential contact information. Residents with mobility needs should make advance arrangements and consider leaving early if authorities issue a warning.
