GOLD RIVER, Calif. — November 1, 2026. Residents following a proposed indoor pickleball facility near Gold River Road and Pyrites Way should know that Sacramento County’s online planning file still lists the proposal as “Hold”, rather than a completed development.
The project, PLNP2024-00088, proposes a roughly 12,300-square-foot building at 2360 Gold River Road. County materials describe a potential indoor recreation center on vacant land at the southwest corner of the intersection, requiring a use permit, a special development permit and major design review.
What the design documents show
The county’s application materials discuss an indoor pickleball facility, including proposed courts and parking. Records contain multiple rounds of drawings and agency comments from 2024 and 2025, with transportation comments as recently as December 30, 2025.
Even a complete application is not the same as a final entitlement. The county’s planning viewer lists no final hearing date and no hearing items for the application. Residents should not treat the proposed building as open for play, assume courts can be booked or quote an opening date without independent confirmation.
How neighbors can follow the decision
Nearby residents and businesses can use the county case number to request updated plans, examine potential impacts on traffic, parking, lighting and landscaping, and check when public-comment opportunities are actually announced.
The viewer identifies the property within the county’s Cordova planning community, with a Gold River postal address. These administrative labels are not proof of a separate city government.
